1. Undergo training in the protocol, trial procedures, and GCP.
2. Build upon and enhance the existing linkages and referral mechanisms of Rifampicin Resistant
patients in Karachi and Kotri for the clinical trial
3. Ensure maximum screenings are conducted in the field to identify symptomatic patients for
the clinical trial
4. Analyse data to facilitate in mobilising and conducting screening camps in the field.
5. Liaise with the Deputy Site coordinator and Senior Data Manager to implement the
intervention at the assigned facility
6. Train relevant team members to mobilise and build relationship with relevant site supervisors
to provide the option for the trial and refer patient(s) to trial site
7. Manage and strategize the logistics of “Mobile Health Van” in the field closer to patient’s
homes districts such as Badin, Dadu or any other district where appropriate for follow up
weekly visits for the clinical trial
8. Monitor field activity to ensure follow through of instructions
9. Manage and coordinate the activities and logistics of Junior Medical Officer, Community
Nurse, Driver and Treatment Coordinators in the field
10. Ensure that all data related to the field is being properly collected, stored and managed as
according to the programmatic and trial requirements
11. Prepare and share regular reports on field activities with the trial team.
12. Discuss weekly with Site Study Coordinator with updates and strategies to enhance enrolment
and improve field follow up visits
13. Implement improvements in field operations based on weekly movement and train field
workers accordingly
14. Ensure contact screening and relevant extended household screening is carried out routinely
15. Participate in the field visits once every week.
16. Liaise with facility management as per trial needs
17. Liaise with treatment coordinator(s) to ensure patient follow-up visits are conducted as per
trial SOPs and protocol
18. Liaise with the Junior Medical Officer regarding patient care in the field Troubleshoot and
support all areas of field work as required Support the Site Study Coordinator and Senior Data
Manager with any other task
