o Collaborate with the Head of Department to further develop and improve the overall system and operating efficiencies.
o Oversee daily operations of the HR department.
o Accountable for the daily operations of the Payroll and Benefits divisions of the HR Department.
o Recommend and implement departmental and organizational policies.
o Advise departmental management on pay issues, performance appraisal and employee relations issues; respond to personnel problems, issues and special requests and to facilitate personnel actions.
o Advise and assist management and staff in the handling of employee relations issues, complaints and/or grievances and determination of appropriate disciplinary actions.
o Determine budgetary impact of salary actions and assist management with salary budget planning and staffing requirements.
o Compile and prepare a variety of reports and analyses reflecting various personnel and/or payroll data.
o Recommend various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisal, disciplinary actions, and vacations schedules.
o Establish and track HR metrics that reflect a fact-based comprehensive method for valuing the contributions of staff.
o Perform all tasks as assigned by the Head of Department I Executive Management.
