• Manage teams of Database Administrators, Systems Engineers, Programmer Analysts and Trainees and provide them technical guidance. Leadership in Continuing Professional Education function is an important responsibility for this position.
• Coordinating Procurement for Technical guidance and assessment for new equipment induction in IT department.
• Analyzing access, information, and security requirements; designing the system infrastructure.
• Planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, software and operating system management.
• Maintaining the performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning.
• Designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to development team / vendor.
• Securing the systems access, monitoring and back-ups.
• Supervision / Performance monitor of team.
• Development & continuous improvement of QI and P&P.
• Ensure effective implementation of Policies & Procedures.
• Ensure availability of systems as per defined standard.
• Communicate with Venders on matters related to customer support, product evaluation, and licenses.
• Short term / long term projections of required resources based on the actual usage & IT plans.
• Refine, enhance and enforce the formal standards for system / database design and maintenance.
• Work with software development team to help in the database design and design and sizing for new applications and enhancements.
• Manpower planning and recruitment.
• Report on the progress and outcome of all projects and activities undertaken and their resource utilization on a regular basis.
• Stay abreast with technical development in the related fields and provide technical experience & leadership where required.
