Job Description

  • Ensure effective operations of the Operation Theatre in absence of the manager.
  • Manage OT manpower: maintain daily and monthly staff duty rosters; schedule leaves, extra duties, and on call availability of all staff.
  • Supervise all OT staff during procedures.
  • Liaise with Management, OT committee, HR, Pharmacy, OT Store, CSSD etc.
  • Assist all surgical specialties.
  • Ensure availability of inventory: arrange and maintain equipment and instruments for special procedures as per requirement.
  • Assure safety and security, and aseptic measures are followed in the Operation Theatre
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
  • Log complaints in the Record book on a daily basis and update it, as complaints are resolved and update same to the Manager
  • Timely accomplishment of special projects and assignment
  • Actively reinforces Hospital policies and protocol in their assigned units
  • Extend help to all patient queries regarding billing and purchasing of medical accessories
  • Coordinate with Purchase Department for the procurement of items, equipment and other accessories as and when required
  • Provide timely feedback about the round to the Manager
  • To ensure that OR environment is maintained at a set standard at all times.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and supervisory skills. Ability to take decision independently.
