Job Description

TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:


he data entry operator/assistant will be responsible for data management including data entry. Under the technical guidance of Manager Program & Communication, responsibilities include (but not limited to);

1. Prepares, compiles, and sorts documents for data entry.

2. Transcribes source data into the required electronic format.

3. Transfers information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, etc.

4. Performs high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software.

  1. Check source documents for accuracy before entry in the MIS and verifies integrity of data by comparing it to source documents.
  2. Enter data from source documents into the MIS
  3. Reviews data for errors, missing pages, or missing information and resolves any discrepancies.
  4. Verify data and correct data where necessary following recommended data correction guidelines
  5. Obtain further information for incomplete documents and engage relevant officers
  6. Maintains a filing system and protects confidential information.
  7. Performs regular backups to ensure data preservation.
  8. Responds to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system.
  9. Uses basic office equipment (photocopy machine, facsimile machine, etc.)
  10. Maintains a satisfactory level of quality and productivity.
  11. Check and verify the completed work in the system for accuracy
  12. Maintain logbooks or records of activities and tasks conducted also verifies and logs receipt of data.
Completes additional assigned tasks as required.
