4. JOB SUMMARY:
The Mental Health Counselor Male/Female is responsible for delivering front-line mental health services in Primary Care Integrated facilities through Tele-Health Program. This includes providing lay counseling and support services to individuals experiencing stress/ anxiety/ depression and conducting Mental Health awareness-raising activities.
5. Core duties/Responsibilities:
- Once trained, Conduct quality mass screening for Anxiety/ Depression at facility level.
- Provide lay counseling and Psycho social support to individuals found positive for anxiety / Depression.
- Maintain excellent records of client treatment progress.
- Establish a safe and positive environment for people to discuss their personal issues
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patients, conversations, referrals, etc.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Attend regular weekly meetings, training courses and capacity-building sessions.
- Calling up the patients for Follow-up
- Works collaboratively and effectively within a team.
Data Reporting:
ü Properly Document all the Client data, both qualitative and quantitative including the stories.
ü Report progress and daily updates to the Supervising Psychologist.
6. Academic/Professional Qualification:
- Minimum Bachelors
ü Graduate with Background of degree in social sciences
7. Work Experience:
- At least 6 months of working Experience in providing counseling services or similar role.
- Good communication and counseling skills
- Fluency in regional language
- Able to use a smart-phone or tablet for data collection
- Experience in managing computer systems
