Job Description
- Operate CT scanners and create a computer generated cross-sectional images of the patients according to departmental protocol.
- Position the patient, select appropriate pre-define radiation exposure parameters and image the patient.
- Provide pre and post procedure instruction to Patients.
- Perform CT Procedures including Plain, HRCT, Contrast Enhanced Studies, Tri-phasic Studies, CT Angiography and assist in CT guided biopsies.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure safe patient handling.
- Ensure proper storage and adequate quantity of material surgical supplies for day to day procedures.
- Recognize and resolve equipment problems and discrepancies, anticipate patient needs and concerns, and determine the appropriate care needed.
- Maintain accurate patient record as per documentation Guidelines for records and record keeping.
- Store, administer and order Contrasts/ other drugs according to Hospital Policy for the Administration of Medicines.
- Notify/report incidents related to patients, staff, visitors and any untoward occurrences in a timely manner.
- Follow and comply with Infection control protocol and guidelines for better patient outcomes.
- Ensure proper handling of systems and equipment’s and take the responsibility of department fixed assets and inventory.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients and families at all the times.
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines
- Provide training to other staff regarding post procedure care.
- Adhere at all times to Hospital Code of Conduct.
