Job Description
- Repair and maintain, with support documentation, biomedical equipment, reuse equipment, and ancillary medical equipment as recommended by the equipment manufacturer’s specifications, policies and procedures.
- Evaluate new equipment, parts and accessories.
- Ability to develop the SOP of newly inducted biomedical equipment.
- Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.
- Perform equipment training to medical staff if needed.
- Perform electrical safety assurance and performance testing on all biomedical equipment.
- Inspects equipment settings, including pressures, conductivity, and temperature to ensure conformance to safety standards.
- Perform monthly PPM and to ensure that employees are following hospital policies and procedures, labels & Precaution tags are proper on all equipment.
- Prepares monthly / quarterly interdepartmental work status reports.
- Ability to run the biomedical department in the absence of Team lead
- Scheduled training program for newly joined biomedical engineering staff.
